Late Nite Ramblings

Sorry I haven't posted for awhile. Between being gone to Utah for the Bramwell family reunion and having my family in town for a few days, then having Scott out of town for the next few days, I haven't had a lot of spare time. I did have time to read the latest and greatest Harry Potter - yes, I am a self-proclaimed Potter nerd. I read most of it while Scott drove back from Utah. What a great husband! I loved the book, was very satisfied with the ending, and can't wait for the movies. So do you really think J.K Rowling is done writing about Harry? I hope not.
The kids were fantastic on the long drive to Salt Lake and back. Caden did get his fill of movies. Poor Soleil is still sitting backwards, but occasionally she'd try to turn around and watch the screen. Big news: she started crawling during the reunion! She's been belly-scooting for over a month now. I kept waiting for her to get up and go, but she seemed quite content callusing her tummy. She is all over the place now...she is so fast. Time to put the baby gates up.
Caden is still going crazy. He had so much fun with his cousins, especially Drew. (the only other boy cousin his age.) I wish Ross and Maria lived closer so the boys could play together. Isn't Atlanta too hot?
Scott just got back from spending 4 days in Boston with a client. The purpose of their trip was to go see the Boston Red Sox play Scott's beloved Baltimore Orioles. Nice, huh? The client paid for some of it, and Scott will get comp'ed for the rest of it...that is the way to do a "business trip," right? It sounds like they had lots of fun, had awesome seats, and good weather. And since I slaved day and nite with the kids by myself, I forsee a Pottery Barn Kids purchase to even things up. What do you think, girls? Sound fair? I'm almost done with the playroom...then I'll post a pix of it. I'm very pleased so far with the results.
Speaking of pictures, sorry for the lack of one right now. Scott took the camera to Boston with him, and who know's where it is. Then I'd have to download them onto the computer, then upload them here.....you get my point. Too late, too tired. Next time for sure. I know that's why you get on here in the first place! ;->
My good friend Lisa is moving away. It is confirmed. Practically all my good friends move away. I am so sad. Her little boy is Caden's good buddy too. I don't think he'll understand that Peter Jon has moved away. Ok, Tammy, Jen, Nicole, and Amy......don't even think about packing a box and moving away. I will hunt you down and drag you back. Lisa, I will miss you terribly. You are a wonderful friend.
And now it's off to bed.

I love your family picture!! You look amazing in it. I am sad to hear that Lisa is moving:( No worries about me going anywhere. Wow, Soleil is crawling. She is growing so fast. I am sure it is slow for you, but it zoomed by for me. I totally remember seeing her just a few days after she was born when we were trick or treating. Time has flown by. Thanks for the late night rambling and update. And for the record, I totally agree that a Pottery Barn Kids purchase is in order!!

Hooray! A new post. Two kids and a business-busy husband... I can't imagine why you wouldn't have the time. What a gorgeous picture behind your title.

Crawling? HOw old is Soleil anyway? I feel like you just had her. I don't even think I saw you pregnant with her. Can you even still call us friends when it's been this long? Seriously. Aren't the boys supposed to organize something because they were friends first? Perhaps we should take charge.

Anyway we miss you guys as always- I'm excited you have a blog so I'll feel a tiny bit connected.

Hey Sunshine-
Thanks for the advice. I really didn't want to have another c-section, but the little stinker turned last week. I do have to say I loved the catheter with Kaylee. The nurse had to basically take it away because I didn't want to give it up. How is it with a second c-section? My first was very very painful! Is the recovery any faster?
